Post alternator excessive ripple
hey guys been having a little trouble keeping the car alive since the winter did a system test yesterday seems that when I turn the car off my a/c voltage is rippling instead of slowly dropping in d/c... I am Not sure what exactly this means if anybody could give me a little advice I'm taking my battery to the shop today so that they can put full charge into it and see if any change thanks for any helphelp

How old is the battery? Might be as needing a new one. And when you parked it for the winter did you disconnect the battery or put a tender on it? If you didn't you probably killed it.

I had a less than a year old optima red top give me grief... I have had it not hold a charge and drop to 6.1 volts three times. The store tested and keeps showing no issues. Last trip there the guy went in the back and got a failed code off another battery and replaced it for me. No issues since... Some pretty weird issues come from low voltage on these cars.

With the red tops if they ever lose their charge they are pretty much toast. I kept mine on a tender 24/7 whenever the car wasn't being driven and 7 years out of it. It was still in the car when I sold it. Bottom line, if you are parking it for a long time and with nay battery either put a tender on it or disconnect it and bring it inside.
