Post Rolling fender lips?
So how did them and how? Pretty sure Greg had to.

Do I really need to use the tool, or old school ~ bat work ok?

I seem to recall Rich using the tool and it jacked his paint a bit. We always used a bat.

Nope, I didn't have to modify anything to fit my 17x11s.

What size are you stuffing in there? Like Greg said as long as you get the right offset an 11" wheel with 315's fits fine

I used the "Fender finisher" and either because the fender lips are double-wall, or I was impatient, you can see where I used it. The nice tool is a roller wheel, but the 'ol baseball bat works.

I can honestly only see 315's fitting without modification if you never use the whole suspension travel/not lowered.. The offset on mine is perfect, and I still had to beat the inner fender and roll the lips.

17x11 aftermarket SS rims - 50MM offset. Nitto NT05 315 DRs.

I havn't test fitted them yet, just got the tires mounted. If needed I was going to borrow a lip rolling gadget from a friend next time I'm in NJ.

I have SLP lever II springs, so car is dropped maybe 1/2-3/4. Also have all the Spohn suspension, adjustable LCA, panhard. Have bumpstop extenders and air bags in the springs do it doesn't drop hardly when launching.

Have the BFH ready for the wheel wells.

Aren't Nitto's a bit more narrow than an MT or other brand? I'd do a test fit first. Maybe you only need to do some massaging.

I had no clearance issues inside or out with 315s on 17X11 ZR1 wheels with Nitto 555R's

I think you'll be just fine. My wheels are 50mm offset and I believe the 98 SS's came with the same springs you have. I have had plenty of clearance with all the tires I've run, including the Nitto 555Rs.

Thanks everyone.

I installed them yesterday, no cleanace issues. The tires are even with the fender lip. There is just over 3" between the top of the tire and the fender lip, and 2.5" between the bump stops and the rear. So the tires should never contact the lip.

Only thing I don't like is how far the tires stick out at the bottom of the fender. I want to do some type of mudflap so I don't throw crap all over the car in the burnout box and such. Have to figure out what will look nice on the car though?

But in all seriousness I know there were a few guys who were able to modify C6 'Vette splashguards to fit the Camaro rear:

Thank you! I was all set to order Trucker Girl, figured haing some chrome would nicely matched the engine bay. But now maybe I'll do the vette ones, and try to sneak in as a honorary member of COCKS. :grin
