Post National Museum of the Air Force Trip
Steve K and I have been discussing a weekend trip to the AF Museum in Dayton Ohio. Strangely enough I have never been there. But regardless, we have decided on March 19-22. We will travel to OH on the 19th, go to the Museum the 20-21 and return the 22nd. Admission to the Museum is free. We are hashing out a Hotel now. More to Follow. I think the tentative is plan will be for me drive up from NJ to meet Steve in Shenandoah PA and take one car, I'm sure the weather won't be suitable for a "cruise".

Location: Dayton Ohio
Transportation: Ride together
Directions: Google Map
Hotel Info: Hampton Inn
Room Rate: $92/night if paid up front

Going:
Nick (Batman)
Steve K (PSU98)

I've been there before, it's a really cool place. All the best are on display.
Also I think Summit Racing's retail store is relatively nearby for a visit. The Rock-n-roll Hall of Fame is not too far away either.
When I get my laptop back from repair I can get a better idea of a potential itinerary.

According to google maps, Summit is 3 hours north of Dayton, so not all that close.

If we loop to take I-80 on the way home we would go through that area. The Ohio State Reformatory (Shawshank Prison) is also along the way, and the Rock Hall would be close. National Packard Museum is in Warren.

Itinerary is being worked out now, anyone else interested in taking a road trip?
If the weather stays nice, I'll be in the Camaro. If not, it may be a Subaru road trip.

Alrighty, Steve and I have more or less firmed up what we are doing. We may deviate a little bit but here is the plan:

Thursday 3/19: drive to Dayton
Friday 3/20: visit the AF Museum, spend another night in Dayton
Saturday 3/21: check out, visit the Wright Cycle / Aviation Complex in Dayton during the morning and the Citizens Motorcar Museum in the afternoon. Leave Dayton on the way to the Akron area.
Sunday 3/22: Visit Summit, swing by the Good Year Blimp hangar complex just a few minutes away, continue home.

It's looking more and more like a Subaru road trip, but a road trip nonetheless 8-)
