Post New from south central PA!!
Hi everybody, I'm a member of a couple other forums and was referred here by "schweet97z" so thought I'd see what this board has to offer.

I own a 1996 Pontiac Trans Am, its an automatic but I'm looking for a T56 swap if anyone has one let me know!

Trans am has...absolutely nothing done to it. It is completely stock with a couple thousand worth of performance parts sitting in the garage beside it. But no time to put the stuff on. haha.

Here are a couple pictures of it

Welcome aboard! I think that's what Harold's (Schweet 97Z) car will eventually look like.

I had a 95 Trans Am that I just sold to a guy from new york a few weeks back, I picked this one up from a family friend for 4k back in the beginning of december. It had the chrome abs wheels, no tint, stock corners and tails. Its still a work in progress but I'm happy with it for now. Still looking forward to getting the WS6 hood in my garage painted.

All the small peices put together definitely set off the car. I'm liking it

Not many close to you I'm afraid. It would be great to get some of the York/Harrisburg crew active in here, seems to be a lot of F-Cars (and others) down that way.

For how small the actual town I live in is, there are a ton of Fbodys...I can think of at least 20 nice ones right off the top of my head. Most of them are LS1's.

I've been down there a few times myself... because I'm kind of a "road geek" I've driven the old Lincoln Highway back and forth. Also I think I visited the abandoned parts of the PA Turnpike right there too.

Yeah I'm actually closer to McConnellsburg, PA and Rte 30 (Lincoln Highway) goes right through there and yes there is the old turnpike up here too, there are a couple of old abandoned turnpike tunnels as well, i've never seen them personally but I've heard they are pretty interesting. I know its pretty weird to just be standing in the middle of an abandoned interstate though, I've just never been to the actual tunnels.

Haha! By who and to where?

I remember a while back they were shooting a movie up on the old turnpike, because it was in the papers and such. The movie was called "The Road" I haven't heard much of it since so I don't know how that went. It was supposed to be post apocalypse.

This was just one of the smaller ones. The area around here was being used by PennDOT for storage. I know some of the other sections are used by the PA National Guard for training.

well the girlfriend and I have decided to go out to the old turnpike this weekend, it should be interesting. I've been out there once but I'm going to head out to one of the larger tunnels.

And the movie is suppose to come out sometime this year.
