Post Steering wheel conundrum solved ***Pics added***
As some may remember I REALLY want an Alcantara wheel for the GTA but really wanted it to be an OEM one. The complexity of the 88 GTA wheel made it stupidly expensive because it is ALL leather, and aftermarket wheels kind of ruin the OE look and also cost a small fortune. So unbeknowst to me, in 1987 the GTA had a slightly different version of the Trans Am wheel from 82-90. So I grabbed up a photo and sent it to the recovering place and they confirmed it can be re-covered at a MUCH more reasonable price ($300 vs $1200) in Alcantara. I also have no intention of wiring up the radio controls in the wheel as in the old cars it is a royal PITA. Plus, IMO, the stock wheel is hideous. So off it will come and get put somewhere safe. Now the challenge at hand from that point on was finding the GTA horn button, since it was only sold for a single year it took some many weeks but I finally tracked one down on TGO that no-one found because he had it listed as the T/A horn button. He was silly enough to part with it for $25.00. So anyway, Dallas Customs is currently working on the actual wheel, probably be a few weeks before I get it back but it will be this wheel, refinished in black Alcantara with Charcoal stitching to match the shift knob I have.

Dallas customs sent me some pics of the finished wheel, think it came out as a good compromise for the feel/stock look i wanted while keeping it relatively stock looking. Opinions?
