Post Nitto Gen 2 tires
Boys at Nitto are up to it again.

They just released the Terra Grappler G2 for trucks, and, perhaps of more interest to us, the 555 G2 is on it's way soon...

I've been on the Cooper bandwagon lately, but if the G2's are priced right and have a decent mileage rating, I will consider them in the spring.

From what I've been reading they are about on par with the 555 tread life wise (I got 42,000 out of mine and they still had tread) but the big gain is supposed to be wet traction and the fact they use different size tread blocks (big for wide tires, small for narrower tires) instead of just adding more tread. So in theory a 345 tire will have the same number of blocks as a 255 tire, just different widths. I never thought the 555 was bad in the rain, so be curious. I may get these for the Firehawk if I can work a deal with my buddy or the price is right on them.

I have cooper all terrains on my truck. I think they are noisey. I'll be going back to Terra grapplers when the time comes.
