Loving the new truck! Just have to wait for the warranty to run out then stuff might change with it! I thought i'd toss a little life into this place. :)

Picture didn't come up. I would love to hear how it drives and tows. It sounds like a piece of machinery that would work for more people than most of the heavy duties.

I have been hearing good things about this truck. I've seen two or three reviews and they said it was kind of a slug, but I bet it will wake up with a tune and a few mods.

I wouldn't QUITE call it a slug but it surely is no speedster. You can feel some torque though! :)

It pulled my 22' pontoon boat just fine and i really didn't notice about 1K of sand in it either AND i'm averaging 26mpg.

No complaints so far.

:)

I hate the winter but i'm anxious to try it in the snow however.

Bob, how well does the car seat fit in the back?

I was all ready to go trade my extended cab Sierra on a Colorado crew cab until I actually saw it in person. It looked like the back seat was smaller than the backseat in my extended cab. At the time, Dylan was on the way and I needed to find something to fit two car seats in the back. With the extended cab, a single seat fit just fine in the middle, but two seats would have been really tight. In the end, I ended up with the crew cab/standard bed Silverado, which I'm very happy with. But, I always was curious about the Colorado/Canyon.

The one thing I didn't like that GM did with those trucks was only make the auto 4WD feature available on the Canyon Offroad. The Colorado Z71 package was the best bang for the buck, but lacked that one feature I like a lot.

Obviously, my Silverado pulls my Ranger bass boat with ease and it tows a lot. I put about 12k towing miles on it this summer. I'm sure the Colorado would handle it well if it tows your pontoon boat. I may look into another one down the road when its time for a new truck. By then, the kids will be old enough to not need car seats.

The Crew cab Colorado is roughly the same size as the last gen F-150. It's a little narrower but it is a pretty good sized truck. I don't think you will have any issues with a car seat in the back. Def more room than an extended cab full size.
