They have been under the cab pretty much since their inception. What are you messing with the block for?

2005 Silverado with 180K

Brake line rusted and split. The other weren't so pretty, so I bought the whole set.

There is no room to turn the wrench a decent amount. I have to use two wrenches that have different angle/offsets.

Have to take a bunch of OTHER RUSTED crap off as well, Have to lifting/tilt the cab off the body mounts to replace the lines.

No wonder they say the deals charge up to $1,500

But it happened in my drive way! VERY thankful for that!

LOL! selling the Z because I don't want to do this type of work, and I'm busting my butt on this little project. - BAD CARMA! :gripe

The brake lines rusted and popped on my 2003 Silverado. Unfortunately, it happened on a boat ramp 75 miles from home with the boat in tow! I bought a pre-bent stainless kit, but I took it to Diehl's in Danville to have them install. There was much swearing involved and they ultimately ended up taking the entire bed off to run the lines into the frame rails. They said it would have been easier to make the lines from a roll. Then, the next day, I traded the truck in. Between labor and the cost of the kit, I had around $800 into the repair.
