Post Not a car, but...
Took my racebike down to get tuned on Friday.. It's a Yamaha R6 (600cc inline-4).. The engine was built to a strict rulebook for "Supersport" class, so it has to use an unported head, stock cams, etc. etc. So basically, a good valve job, degreeing the cams, and a paper-thin head gasket is all that's allowed in addition to an aftermarket air filter and full exhaust.

But, it also makes 118whp on 98 octane (should be somewhere around 124 on VP MR12, but we didn't tune the other map), and revs to 16,500 rpm, which is why I figured some might like to hear it. The parts inside are so freaking TINY.. I think my push mower has bigger valves!

He's rolling into the throttle at around 6,000. It starts to make good power at 10k, peaks around 15k, but the power doesn't really drop off all the way to the limited, so it's a flexible powerband, albeit a really high one!

Nice! I miss going on the track with a bike. That's what happens when you have kids. Good luck with the season. Keep the rubber side down.

I already crashed at the end of the 2nd day of practice...

Now that it's out of the way, we can get onto the business of going FAST! First race of the season is April 11th in S.C..

That bike sounds wicked. Nice exhaust setup! I like shiny things lol
