There are 9" fords around here... I would think an 8" would fit just the same.
The shop that built the 9" in little Stevies 9" ford for the WS6 is about a mile from my house.

Harold you got me excited for a minute. Then i realized that the 9" housing needed a center section... there's gotta be a better rear than the 10 bolt that doesn't cost a third of the car value. ugh.

Give them a call. They are still a lot cheaper than moser and quality is just as good. When I was looking I called Bob @ Brute Speed which he is supposed to be the cheapest around for Moser, and he was 3300 if I remember correctly. I think I had 2200 into my 9". Look into piecing it together also. I used a Yukon Nodular Iron Case, Richmond Gears, Moser Axles, and a Tru Trac

Might be able to fab up a GM 9 bolt from a 3rd gen without too much aggravation. They have a narrower track by about an inch though. Nowhere near as good as a 12 bolt or 9" but you can get one for a few hundred bucks and they are quite a bit stronger than a 10 bolt

Nick, you forget i have a third gen, a 9 bolt would go right in. i can't find any for sale within a decent distance, I've been looking. the kicker and biggest regret of the car was selling the 9 bolt i had to vance. stupid, stupid, stupid.

Lol, yup, it is probably very shiny though. Have you been looking on TGO and EBAY? Even truck shipping shouldn't be too bad for them, they aren't all that heavy

Here is one complete with brakes for $500 OBO. They are the older brakes and the PBR's but that isn't a bad price
